Seven Lakes Church of Christ Family Matters
September 4th
The Marysville congregation has selected four men to act as leaders from Marysville to work with the Elders from Seven Lakes. They are: Steve Leifer, Mike Jonstone, Glenn Sayles, and Chuck Skelton. The Elders from Seven Lakes and the leaders from Marysville will be meeting in the near future to continue plans for the merger of the two bodies into one. If you have any suggestions or input, please let one of the Elders from Seven Lakes know.
Last evening, the series "Does God Exist?" by John Clayton was started. All those present were impressed with the first part. This will be continued on Sunday evening services at both Seven Lakes and Marysville. If you weren't there, you can pick us a copy DVD and watch it at home to catch up. Brother Clayton approaches the existence of God from a scientific view. He has been a science teacher at a High School for over 40 years. He was an atheist and became a Christian by studying the Galaxies.

There were 14 present with 7 from each congregation. They voted unanimously to merge the two congregations into one. Time, name of the new corporation, and corporate officers to be named later. The Elders and Deacons of both groups will remain in place. Marysville will appoint two men to serve with the Seven Lakes Elders.

Toni Thompson was offered and accepted a job with the Everett Clinic. Needless to say, she was thrilled.
